As of May 14, 2022, flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Ankara to the new Rize-Artvin Airport have been launched. Reciprocal flights will be operated daily on both routes.
Rize-Artvin Airport, which is the second built-on-the-sea airport in Turkey and Europe after Ordu-Giresun Airport through sea filling, is 34 kilometers from Rize center and 54 kilometers from Hopa town center.
