News From Smyrna
There are some new and important findings in the Smyrna Antique City diggings carried out in the name of the Dokuz Eylül University and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism
The first being a sculptured head that belongs to a life-sized relief found during the diggings in the City Parliament in the vicinity of Smyrna Agora. The other important finding of the 2010 diggings is a relief that features many gods or heroes surrounding a monument. This finding is believed to belong the second half the 2nd century B.C.
