Lost Songs Of Anatolia

Lost Songs Of Anatolia

Numerous different local dances and folkloric elements, ranging from Düzce’s Circassian dances to Trabzon’s horon (a folk dance of the Eastern Black Sea coastal region), Hemşin folkloric songs of Rize to the eagle dancing of Bingöl, Kırşehir’s and Kırıkkale’s bozlak (a kind of folk song) to Burdur’s nomads’ kemane (a three-stringed violin) and sipsi (reed), were gathered in Nezih Ünen’s ‘Lost Songs of Anatolia’ project. For the production that will be showing starting on March 12th, Ünen completed the shooting in five years, covering Anatolia from one end to the other, twice.
