İstanbul: Games and Toys Museum

Home to a number of items which are historically significant in the fields of toys, the Ümran Baradan Games and Toys Museum, which is a historical toy museum, has opened in a brand new private building in Varyant. Writer and poet Sunay Akın is the concept advisor of the museum, and also founder of the Istanbul Toy Museum. A toy pushchair, made in 1860 in the USA, a cardboard town which consists of 1880’s Victorian houses, Teddy Bear made in Germany in 1930, a toy washing machine made in the USA in 1930, a dollhouse made in Alanya in the 1920’s, and tin cars that were sold in the USA, Germany and England are among the toys displayed in the museum.
