“The Dardanelles Strait is uniquely positioned between Asia and Europe and has inspired mythology and art since antiquity,” says English artist Mark Wallinger, who has been working in Çanakkale on his “My City Public Art Project.” The artist introduced his project “Cinema Amnesia” that he designed for the city. “Cinema Amnesia” will be a temporary structure established at the narrowest point of Dardanelles and will continuously show the strait as it was 24 hours ago.
