The 12th Nature and Popular Sports (IVV) Olympics are intended to provide a venue for sports activities based not on competition, but on fun and friendship. Featuring such sports as hiking, swimming, and cycling, the Olympics are open to all. The choice of sport, distance, and speed in these Olympics, which create new friendships for people coming from all over the world and in which everyone who participates wins, is up to the participants. Lighting the Olympic torch in Olympos (Yanartaş) was accepted by IVV. There are notable sources indicating that the starting torch of the first Olympics was lit in Antalya.

The IVV Olympics, which are expected to bring alternative approaches to Anatolian tourism, are of great significance for the promotion of our country’s historic texture and natural beauties, besides its sea and sand. The Federation of Friends of the Environment and Nature of Turkey, the chief supporter of the event, has a total of seven clubs in Antalya, Kemer, Alanya, Gazipaşa, İbradi, Kumluca, and Ankara, and around one thousand members.
