The films that will compete in the national feature-length category of the Malatya Film Festival—the first of which was held last year and met with great interest by moviegoers—have been named. Eight films are competing in the festival, which will be held November 18–24. The films selected by the preliminary jury comprised of Prof. Oğuz Onaran, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Berrin Yanıkkaya, PhD, and Levent Cantek are as follows: “Eylül” (September) / Cemil Ağacıkoğlu, “Gelecek Uzun Sürer” (Future Lasts Forever) / Özcan Alper, “Kar Beyaz” (White as Snow) / Selim Güneş, “Küçük Günahlar” (Little Sins) / Rıza Kıraç, “Mar” (Snake) / Caner Erzincan, “Saklı Hayatlar” (Hidden Lives) / Haluk Ünal, “Unutma Beni İstanbul” (Do Not Forget Me Istanbul) / Collective (Artistic Director: Hüseyin Karabey), and “Zenne” (Dancer) / M. Caner Alper and Mehmet Binay.
