Fast Times In Samsun

The third and the fourth races of the World Offshore 225 Championship organized by the International Powerboat Union (UIM—Union Internationale Motonautique) will take place in Samsun on May 21 and 22.

The championship, to which the Istanbul Offshore Club contributes, will begin in Istanbul on May 14 and is to offer sports fans a total of twenty races set in ten coastal Turkish cities.

People in Samsun will be able to watch the races as part of the activities scheduled for May 19 Youth and Sports Day.

The races have been organized by the
Istanbul Offshore Club since 2003.
Twenty-Four Pılots
Twenty-four pilots from Turkey, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, the US, Spain, and Italy compete in the races.

Fierce Competition
Many globally significant pilots and teams will participate in the championship. From Turkey, there will be the pilots of the Galatasaray and Beşiktaş teams.

World Record
The Istanbul Offshore Club broke a world record with the twenty offshore races it organized in 2010.
