Seeking Firsts

Just as it does every year, the Istanbul Theatre Festival, which will continue for approximately three weeks this year, is pursuing firsts to present to theatergoers.

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts has started accepting applications for projects from all over Turkey to participate in the 18th Istanbul Theatre Festival. Local troupes wishing to participate in the festival, which will be held May 10–30, 2012, can deliver their project files to the Istanbul Theater Festival Center until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30. The productions entered must not have been staged in Istanbul previously.

Applications to the festival can be made in IKSV’s Nejat Eczacıbaşı Building in Şişhane  (Sadi Konuralp Cad. No:5 Şişhane – İstanbul).
