The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Art Gallery is hosting the Colorful Worlds under Glass exhibition, in which seventy-five works from four continents will appear, through December 14. Under-glass painting is an art encountered rarely in the world today with a past dating back to antiquity. The seventy-nine works displayed belong to the collection of Neveser Aksoy, who prepared a thesis on Turkish under-glass paintings at the Sorbonne and has been continuing her research for thirty years. The gallery is open for visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. except on Mondays.
FROM FOUR CONTINENTS
Among the works displayed at the gallery are under-glass paintings from Germany, France, England, and Spain in Europe; China, Indonesia, India, and Japan in Asia; Morocco and Tunisia in Africa; and Brazil and Peru in America, as well as Turkey.
